Historical Crosswords – Fun at the Library!

This year, the Chestermere Historical Foundation (CHF) entered a subscription for Alberta History, a quarterly, scholarly, history magazine, and History Now, a membership publication both from the Historical Society of Alberta. CHF makes these available to the public in a display courtesy of the Chestermere Public Library--you may drop in and read these at any time, however they are not available as yet for loan. One great idea from Janet who works at Chestermere Public Library, was to provide copies of the historical crossword puzzles that appear in each of the History Now newsletters, so do drop in and pick one up and test your brain on local Alberta history! Thanks to CPL for providing these copies and the space to display these amazing magazines. One day CHF hopes to provide some local Chestermere history on the pages. While you are at the library, visit the historical display of Eaton's memorabilia provided by local citizens on loan to or donated to CHF. You can also visit us on August 27th at the Car Show on the CRCA grounds, 10am to 4pm when CHF will have the little red 1953 Ford Fire Truck on display.
